Dr. Victoria Golding is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London’s School of History since January 2022. She holds a PhD in Social History from the University of Sussex (2022), funded by the AHRC. Her research focuses on queer space, lesbian communities, and emotional experience in 1980s/1990s Britain. She explores how migration patterns and grassroots networks shaped lesbian communities in rural towns like Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, intersecting with feminist movements and urban squatting scenes.
