Victor R. DeFilippis

Victor R. DeFilippis is an Associate Professor at the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute within Oregon Health & Science University's School of Medicine. With expertise spanning viral immunology and innate immune signaling pathways, his research bridges fundamental molecular mechanisms with translational applications for emerging viral threats.

Dr. DeFilippis' research program focuses on the molecular biology of innate immune signaling, particularly the cGAS-STING pathway, which detects cytosolic DNA and triggers inflammatory responses and adaptive immunity.
