Vicky Mercer

Vicky Mercer is a full-time Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Northumbria University, joining the institution in 2023 after over two decades of clinical experience in community paediatrics. She previously served as Team Lead for the Children’s Physiotherapy Service in South Tyneside, bringing substantial practical expertise into her academic role. She is also involved in the departmental mandatory training and education outreach initiatives.

Her educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Physiotherapy (pre-registration) from Queen Margaret University College. She is a registered physiotherapist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
