Jennifer Chesterton is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Sunderland, where she has taught for over three years. Her clinical background includes paediatric physiotherapy roles at Sunderland Royal Hospital and Northumberland NHS Trust, with a focus on children with complex needs and neuromuscular disorders. She actively integrates clinical leadership and service development experience into her teaching.

Teaching Responsibilities include leading modules on professional practice, holistic lifespan care, and leadership (levels 4-6) within the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course. She emphasizes developing students' clinical skills and readiness for practice.
Publications (2023) highlight trends in paediatric physiotherapy education and graduate preparedness for clinical practice. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in healthcare settings.
