Vicky Fouka is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Stanford University, with additional roles as Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau for Economic Research (NBER) and Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). She is affiliated with The Europe Center and CDDRL at Stanford, and serves on editorial boards for the Journal of Historical Political Economy and Political Science Research and Methods. Her research bridges political science, economics, and historical analysis, focusing on group identity, intergroup relations, and migration policy.

Her empirical work examines how minority groups form identities, navigate assimilation, and influence policy design—particularly in the context of immigrant integration and historical social dynamics. Articles span topics like language policy backlashes, racial policy preferences during the Great Migration, and cultural determinants of economic behavior.
Scientific awards include the Bodossaki Distinguished Young Scientist Award, Joseph L.
