Vicki Voskuil

Dr. Vicki Voskuil serves as Associate Professor of Nursing at Hope College, where she has taught since 2004 and held the Curriculum and Practicum Director position since 2012. Her instructional responsibilities include Health Assessment, Nursing Research, Pathophysiology, and Family Nursing Theory and Practicum.

Her academic credentials feature a Ph.D. in Nursing from Michigan State University (2016), M.S. in Nursing from the University of Michigan (1994), and BSN from Calvin College (1989).

Voskuil's research centers on physical activity promotion among sedentary adolescent girls and psychometric validation of psychosocial instruments. Employing mixed-methods approaches including activity trackers and motivational interviewing, her work addresses urban health disparities through the Health Promotion Model. Key focus areas include self-efficacy measurement, intervention design for youth, and sociocultural barriers to healthy behaviors.
