Professor Veronica Swallow is a Professor of Child & Family Nursing & Healthcare at Sheffield Hallam University's School of Health and Social Care, affiliated with the Health Research Institute. With 30 years of NHS clinical and leadership experience, she co-leads the Child, Young Person and Family research group. Her work focuses on self-management interventions, digital health technologies, and family-centered care for long-term conditions. She has secured £7.5M+ in research grants and published over 70 papers.
Research Interests:
- Development/evaluation of self-management interventions for children and families
- Role of digital health technologies in pediatric care
- Family involvement in healthcare decision-making
- Transition care for adolescents with chronic conditions
