Veronica Scotti

Veronica Scotti is a Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she teaches \'Technical Activities and Legal Implications: Liability, Intellectual Property Protection, AI Regulation\'. She is also a Guest Researcher at the Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica (IIT), Comillas Pontifical University, starting July 1, 2025, in the Bioengineering area, holding the position of RF4 researcher.

She earned her law degree from the Catholic University of Milan in 2000 and has been a practicing attorney at the Milan Bar, specializing in technically oriented litigation, arbitration, and compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025. Her interdisciplinary expertise bridges law, engineering, and technology governance.

Her research interests focus on Forensic and Legal Metrology, AI regulation, intellectual property, professional liability, and standardization. These areas reflect her commitment to ensuring technical accuracy and legal accountability in scientific and technological applications.

Veronica Scotti is an active member of the Jurisprudence Section of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). She has contributed significantly to judicial education by teaching Forensic Metrology at the Italian Superior Council of the Judiciary (Scuola Superiore della Magistratura).

She has provided extensive consulting services to the Polytechnic University of Milan, supporting its Technology Transfer Office on patent matters and the Quality Center in internal and third-party audits related to quality, environmental management, product certification, and CE marking. Her work demonstrates a strong engagement with institutional innovation and compliance frameworks.

Currently affiliated with IIT in a research capacity, she is involved in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of law and bioengineering, likely focusing on regulatory and ethical dimensions of emerging technologies.
