Veronica Chiang

Veronica Chiang, MD, is a Professor of Neurosurgery and Therapeutic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine. She serves as Assistant Dean for Admissions, Associate Vice Chair of Academic Affairs, and Director of the Gamma Knife Center at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). Dr. Chiang leads the Brain Metastasis Program, a multidisciplinary initiative integrating Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Neurosurgery, and Neuro-Oncology for coordinated patient management and research.

Research Interests: Dr. Chiang focuses on brain metastases, radiosurgery, laser thermal ablation (LTA), and immunotherapy integration. Her work addresses post-radiosurgery complications, tumor regrowth vs radiation effects, and advanced therapies for melanoma/lung cancer brain metastases. She pioneered LTA as a national leader, particularly for recurrent cases.

Publication Trends: Recent articles cover multicenter trials on radiosurgery for bladder cancer brain metastases, prognostic models for melanoma, immunotherapy combinations, and LTA outcomes.
