Dr. Veronica Barry is an Assistant Professor in History at Dublin City University (DCU), affiliated with the School of History and Geography. Her research focuses on modern European history, particularly the interwar and Second World War periods, with expertise in soft diplomacy, neutrality, propaganda, women’s transnational networks, and fascism.

Research & Professional Activities:
Dr. Barry has held a research fellowship at the German Historical Institute, Washington DC (2022), and received funding from the Irish Research Council, Women’s History Association of Ireland, and the German Historical Institute. She co-founded the All-Island Trauma-Informed Research Network (2024) and serves on the national committee of the Irish History Students’ Association. She is also the editor of the association’s official podcast.
