Prof. Ciarán Mac Murchaidh is a Professor in Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge at Dublin City University (DCU). He holds degrees from Maynooth University and the Pontifical University, Maynooth, including a PhD in Irish Studies. His research focuses on the Irish language in the 18th century, preaching literature, Hiberno-English, and translation. He leads the Ainm project and serves as Joint Editor of Studia Hibernica and Irish-language Editor of Eighteenth-Century Ireland/Iris an dá Chultúr.
