Verena Freytag

Prof. Verena Freytag is a Professor of Aesthetic Education and Movement Education at the University of Kassel. She holds a doctorate from the University of Paderborn on creative processes in dance and previously worked at Düsseldorf, Giessen, and Paderborn universities. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches in cultural education, dance pedagogy, and qualitative research methods.

She founded the study profile KuPra (Cultural Practice in Schools) at the University of Kassel and co-founded the Netzwerk Forschung Kulturelle Bildung. Her projects include dance initiatives in schools and interdisciplinary cooperative research.
