Vera Gluscevic is an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southern California (USC), where she leads the CosmoLab research group. She holds a B.Sc. from the University of Belgrade (2007) and a Ph.D. from Caltech (2013), with postdoctoral work at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and visiting positions at Princeton University and Caltech.
Her research focuses on cosmology and astroparticle physics, including dark matter, dark energy, galaxy formation, cosmological simulations, and probabilistic inference. She is a founding member of major collaborations like CMB-S4 and Simons Observatory, where she has held leadership roles in theory and likelihood working groups.
Her publications focus on observational cosmology, dark matter constraints, large-scale structure analysis, and CMB instrumentation. Recent work emphasizes cross-correlation techniques between galaxy surveys and CMB data, dark matter interactions, and neutrino physics.
Awards:
- NIH/NSF CAREER Award (2023)
- Cottrell Scholar Award (2022-2023)
- USC Raubenheimer Junior Faculty Award (2022-2023)
- Scialog Fellow (2024-2025)
She teaches cosmology and introductory astronomy courses at USC and advises graduate students in astrophysics research.
