Vera Fiorentino is a Junior Research Fellow and Part-Time Teacher at the University of Lapland's Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds roles as a Doctoral Researcher in Welfare, Work and Citizenship, and Training Manager within the same faculty. Her academic positions include involvement in discipline-specific doctoral programs and collaborative research projects.
Research Interests: Fiorentino's work focuses on social work practices during pandemics, digital social work implementation, and social workers' well-being in crisis settings. Her research explores challenges and innovations in social work during the COVID-19 pandemic, including digital tools, home schooling dynamics, and pandemic-induced stress.
Recent Research Trends: Her publications analyze pandemic impacts on social work practices, digital environment utilization, and workload management in social services. Key themes include crisis management, cross-cultural social work responses, and mental health adaptations.
