Venugopal Venna

Dr. Venugopal Venna serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. His research integrates cerebrovascular biology, behavioral neuroscience, and gut-brain axis mechanisms within the BRAINS Research Laboratory infrastructure.

Dr. Venna's research interests focus on three interconnected domains: ischemic stroke pathophysiology, post-stroke depression mechanisms, and gut-brain communication in recovery.
