Sunil A. Sheth, MD is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of the Vascular Neurology Program at UT Health McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. He completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University with an A.B. in Chemistry and Physics, followed by medical training through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program. His postgraduate training includes Neurology residency at UCSF (where he served as chief resident) and fellowships in Vascular Neurology and Interventional Neuroradiology at UCLA.
Dr. Sheth's research focuses on endovascular stroke therapy, neuroimaging, and biomarkers of cerebral injury, with particular interest in improving patient selection for endovascular treatments. His clinical expertise spans ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and management of various vascular malformations. He has established significant collaborative research efforts with Baylor University and Rice University, particularly in developing minimally invasive treatments for chronic neuropathic pain.
