Vanessa Prosper

Dr. Vanessa Prosper is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Department of Counseling, Developmental & Educational Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Boston College and a dual B.Sc. in Neurobiology and Psychology from McGill University. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Prosper specializes in child/adolescent mental health, immigrant mental health, and multicultural competency. She currently serves as clinical coordinator at Boston Latin School while maintaining a private practice and teaching graduate courses.

Her research focuses on school-based clinical interventions, immigrant populations, and racial/ethnic identity. Notable awards include the 2014 Boston Children’s Hospital Black Achiever Award and the 2019 Boston Latin School DEI Award. Dr. Prosper is trilingual (French, Haitian Creole, English) and works with diverse populations including Haitian immigrants and neurodivergent youth.
