Vanessa PREVOT

Vanessa PREVOT is a CNRS Research Director at the Clermont-Ferrand Institute of Chemistry (ICCF) within University Clermont Auvergne. Her research focuses on inorganic materials synthesis, nanotechnology, and environmental chemistry applications. She leads the Inorganic Materials (IM) team and specializes in layered hydroxides (HDL), nanocomposites, and their use in pollution control and biocatalysis.

Roles & Affiliations:

• Member of the Inorganic Materials (IM) team
• Facilitator of the cross-disciplinary Chemistry for the Environment axis
• Associate Editor of Applied Clay Science (Elsevier)
• CNRS Mission Officer (20% allocation, Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne region)

Research Themes: Development of HDL-based nanocomposites, nanoparticle synthesis, environmental applications, and bionanocomposites for sensors/biosensors. Current projects include morphology-controlled layered hydroxides and nanostructured film encapsulation.
