Vanessa Latarche is a renowned piano pedagogue and Professor at the Royal College of Music (RCM), where she has served as Head of Keyboard since 2005. She was awarded a Personal Chair at the RCM in 2011 as Chair of International Keyboard Studies and appointed Associate Director for Partnerships in Asia, managing collaborations with institutions in China and Singapore. Previously, she was a piano professor at the Royal Academy of Music for 14 years.

Her research and performance interests center on piano pedagogy, classical repertoire interpretation (particularly J.S. Bach), and international music education initiatives. She has performed extensively across Europe, the USA, and Asia, and served as a juror for numerous global piano competitions.
Vanessa has received multiple honors, including:

She chairs the Hastings International Piano Competition and advises the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, while maintaining an active role in music governance as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians and Director of the Eileen Rowe Musical Trust.
