Dr. Vanessa Garcia is the Assistant Dean for Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships at Lipscomb University, where she also directs Instructional Practice programs and teaches graduate courses. Her 20-year career includes roles as a K-12 teacher, middle school principal, district administrator, and adjunct professor. She is founder of Tennessee’s Grow Your Own program (2020), which fosters pathways for educators. Recognized with the 2022 AILACTE Partnership Award for P-12 collaboration, her work emphasizes strategic planning, diversity, and global citizenship.
Education: B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University; M.Ed. and Ed.D. from Trevecca Nazarene University.
