Dr. Vanda Papafilippou is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at the Faculty of Business and Law, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Her work centers on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), with a focus on gender inequality, diversity management, and inclusive recruitment practices in organizational settings.
Her research interests span the sociology of work, identity, gender and justice, neurodiversity, and research methodologies including ethnography, interviewing, and critical discourse analysis. She actively applies her expertise through collaborations with SMEs, larger organizations, and public institutions such as the NHS Leadership Academy.
Dr. Papafilippou has secured multiple research grants, including funding from the British Academy, HEIF, and UWE Bristol’s innovation programs. She has developed and delivered EDI training for creative sector SMEs and executive education programs focused on inclusive HR practices.

Dr. Papafilippou contributes to policy evaluation and training development, particularly in inclusive leadership and HRM practices. She collaborates with colleagues such as Dr. Laura Fogg-Rogers, Dr. Marianthi Leon, Miss Lucy Downes, and Professor Carol Jarvis on interdisciplinary projects bridging academia and practice.
