Prof. Dr. Vancho Gjorgjiev is a Full Professor at the Institute of History within the Faculty of Philosophy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. Born in 1964, he holds a PhD from 2002 on the topic of the Macedonian Revolutionary Movement. His academic career includes roles as assistant professor (1990s), associate professor (2007), and full professor (2012). He has served as Head of the Institute of History twice and held roles in national education policy, including Undersecretary of Education (1999-2000). His awards include the prestigious Goce Delchev Award (2004) for contributions to national science and the Manning Prize as top graduate (1989).
