Valérie Rüfenacht

Valérie Rüfenacht is a PhD candidate and Teaching Assistant at the Institute of Management, Faculty of Economics, University of Neuchâtel. She holds a BSc and MSc in Management from HEC Lausanne and focuses on diversity, inclusion, identity fluidity, and self-categorization.

Her research explores how identity practices influence individual behaviors in organizational settings, particularly through gender pronouns and social categorization. Her recent work examines the intersection of political orientation, gender expression, and consumer decision-making.

Publications highlight trends in gender-neutral communication, status consumption, and brand perception. Collaborations with Prof. Bruno Kocher span topics like consumer self-confidence, social norms, and CEO identity representation.
