Nima Shokri

Prof. Nima Shokri is a Chair and Professor of Geo-Hydroinformatics at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), and Executive Co-Director of the United Nations University Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change. He holds a BSc/MSc from Sharif University of Technology and a PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), followed by postdoctoral research at ETH Zurich. His academic roles include Assistant Professor at Boston University (2010-2012), Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at The University of Manchester (2013-2020).

His research focuses on addressing global water, soil, and environmental challenges through advanced tools like AI, big data, and remote sensing.
