Valentina Vassallo

Valentina Vassallo is a fixed-term Researcher at Link Campus University in Rome, Italy. She holds a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology (2015) from the University of Naples Federico II and a PhD in Biochemical and Biotechnological Sciences (2021) from the University of Campania 'Luigi Vanvitelli'. She is licensed as a biologist (2017) and served as a teaching assistant for Biochemistry at the University of Campania from 2021-2024. She collaborated as a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Stuttgart's Institute of Interfacial Process Engineering and Plasma Technology (2021).

Her research focuses on developing primary cell cultures from tissues like bone and cartilage to evaluate responses to glycosaminoglycan formulations. She investigates biomaterials and scaffolds for tissue regeneration and cell differentiation, particularly targeting osteoarticular degenerative/inflammatory diseases. With 17 peer-reviewed publications, her work bridges biochemical research with translational applications in regenerative medicine.
