Professor Val Gillet is a renowned academic in Chemoinformatics, currently serving as Professor of Chemoinformatics and former Head of the School of Information, Journalism and Communication at the University of Sheffield (2012–2016 and 2019–2023). She holds degrees from the University of Cambridge (MA) and the University of Sheffield (MSc, PhD). Her research focuses on computational methods in drug discovery, including de novo design, QSAR modeling, and AI-driven toxicity prediction. She has led interdisciplinary projects funded by EPSRC, BBSRC, and industry partnerships like AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline.
