VICENTE IGNACIO BELLVER LOIZAGA

Vicente Ignacio Bellver Loizaga is a researcher in Contemporary History at the University of Valencia, affiliated with the Faculty of Geography and History and the Department of Modern and Contemporary History. He is a member of the GEHTID (Historical Studies Group for Democracy and Transitions to Democracy) and completed his PhD with a thesis on libertarian experiences in post-Franco Spain, focusing on Valencia between 1968 and 1990.

His research interests include the history of anarchism, oral history and memory, social movements and revolution, the New Left and the 1960s, and the history of the left. His work emphasizes the use of oral testimonies to reconstruct militant cultures and political identities during Spain's democratic transition.

His publications reflect a strong thematic continuity, exploring anarchist militancy, gender in youth antagonism, the role of the CNT, and the memory of radical politics. He has authored the book Hilos Rojinegros (2021) and numerous articles in journals such as Ayer. Revista de Historia Contemporánea. His research has been supported by an FPU fellowship from the Spanish Ministry and he has contributed to academic and public history projects, including curating oral testimony collections on libertarian ateneos.
