VAHAP OKAN

Professor VAHAP OKAN is a distinguished academic hematologist at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. He has served as Professor since 2010, following his progression from Lecturer (1994-1996), Assistant Professor (1996-2003), to Associate Professor (2003-2010). His medical specialization in Internal Medicine was completed at Gaziantep University (1990-1994), followed by subspecialty training in Hematology (2006-2009).

Dr. OKAN's research focuses on hematological disorders with particular expertise in hemophilia, thrombosis, bleeding disorders, and hematological malignancies. His work spans genetic polymorphisms in blood disorders, therapeutic plasma exchange, and molecular aspects of leukemia and myeloma. His clinical interests include hemostasis, coagulation disorders, and transfusion medicine.
