Prof. Dr. Ute Zillig is a Professor at the Department 4: Social Work & Health at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Her work focuses on trauma-sensitive social work, sexual and gender-based violence, transgenerational trauma, and gender diversity in feminist social work.

She leads research projects on autonomous women's shelters and coordinates expert counseling against sexualized violence in childhood and adolescence. Recent research explores intergenerational trauma transmission, biographical reconstruction methods, and gender-diverse frameworks in social work. She supervises bachelor and master theses and conducts trauma-informed educational practices.
Current affiliations include the Independent Regional Commission for Processing Issues in the Hessen Protestant Church and Diakonie Hessen, and the German Society for Social Work. She collaborates with organizations like the Central Information Office of Autonomous Women's Shelters and the Hessen Women's Shelter Network.
