Uta Schoenberg is a Professor of Economics at University College London (on leave) and Chair of Economics at the University of Hong Kong's Hong Kong Business School. Her research focuses on applied microeconomics, particularly labor economics, wage inequality, family economics, education economics, and migration. She holds editorial roles as Co-editor of the American Economic Review and former Joint Managing Editor of the Review of Economic Studies. Schoenberg is a Fellow of the British Academy, Econometric Society, and Society of Labor Economics.

Research Interests: Her work examines labor market dynamics, taxation policy effects on firms and workers, family-friendly workplace policies, and the impact of technological change. Current projects include studies on business taxation’s labor market impacts and the role of firm-provided policies.
