Ursula Weisenfeld

Ursula Weisenfeld is Professor and Chair of Business Administration, especially Innovation Management, at Leuphana University Lüneburg's Institute for Management & Organization (IMO), and an Associate at the Leuphana Center for Organization & Social Transformation. Her work bridges academic research with executive education, focusing on innovation's societal impact through sustainability and institutional change.

Her research examines innovation-institution interplay, stakeholder risk perception of new technologies, and mechanisms for sustainable development. Key projects include MEHRCE (circular economy systems) and Wise STEP (gender/social identity in entrepreneurship), exploring socially innovative transformations through inclusive working environments and digital platforms.

Professor Weisenfeld supervises bachelor's and master's theses on innovation management, entrepreneurship, and organizational culture while teaching Management of Change and International Technology Management with sustainability integration. She leads multiple research initiatives including LIONA REGINNB for regional innovation acceleration.

She actively contributes to IMO's Social & Sustainable Entrepreneurship team and the Innovation Community, collaborating on projects like the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Certificate (L-SEC) and value-chain transformation research for Germany's circular economy transition.
