Ursula Schröder

Prof. Dr. Ursula Schröder is a Professor of Political Science with a focus on Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg, serving as Scientific Director of the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy (IFSH) since 2017. Her research addresses the evolution of state and supranational peace and security orders, with expertise in European security, climate-security nexus, and security sector reform (SSR). She leads the graduate school Democratising Security in Turbulent Times and contributes to the Cluster of Excellence 'Climate, Climatic Change and Society' project Conflict and Cooperation at the Climate Security Nexus. She also directs a DFG-funded project on multinational police assistance and has led long-term research in Berlin's Collaborative Research Center 700 on post-conflict interventions.
