Urmas Varblane (born July 20, 1961) is a distinguished Professor of International Business at the University of Tartu's Faculty of Economics and Business Administration since February 2001. He has held significant administrative positions including Vice Dean (2005-2011, 2011-2014) and Head of the Chair of Business Administration (2008-2011). Additionally, he served as Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Estonian Academy of Sciences (2009-2019) and currently serves on the Tartu University Council (2022-present), Estonian Research Council's Evaluation Committee (2020-present), and the Bank of Estonia Supervisory Board (2009-present).
