Undi Hoffler

Dr. Undi Hoffler serves as Director of the Office of Research Compliance and Technology Transfer (ORCTT) at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and contributes as a health equity researcher, leveraging over 19 years of experience from prior roles at the National Institutes of Health and U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Her research portfolio spans critical domains:

• Pharmacology and Environmental Toxicology with focus on metabolism/biomarkers
• Health Equity and Community-Led Research initiatives
• Technology Transfer for university intellectual property commercialization
• Entrepreneurial mentorship for student ventures
• Environmental Health solutions including clean energy access

Dr. Hoffler holds pivotal leadership positions across major federal initiatives: she leads the Research Capacity Core within NCCU's NIH-funded RCMI grant, co-leads the NCCU-Duke Community-Engagement Core (Duke CTSA), and directs the HRSA-funded Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Training Program. She also spearheads NCCU's role in EPA Region 4's REACT4 technical assistance center for environmental justice.

As principal investigator for North Carolina Biotechnology Center grants, she enhances technology licensing potential while her ORCTT office protects research compliance whistleblowers. Through the Duke-NCCU Bridge Office, she facilitates cross-institutional mentorship, internships, and resource sharing to advance translational research capacity.
