Ulysses Loken

Ulysses Loken serves as a Visiting Faculty Lecturer and Music Lesson Instructor in Piano and Collaborative Pianist at the College of the Holy Cross. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Collaborative Piano from the University of Oregon, alongside Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees in Piano Performance from San Francisco State University.

With extensive performance experience, Loken has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Lake Charles Symphony, Oregon Symphony, and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, performing at festivals like the Oregon Bach Festival and Curious Flights Series. His teaching career includes roles at McNeese State University, Academy of Art University, and San Francisco State University, focusing on piano, music theory, and collaborative arts.

Loken is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM), reflecting his commitment to pedagogical excellence. His work bridges performance and education, emphasizing chamber music and orchestral collaboration. He continues to contribute to the College of the Holy Cross’s music programs through teaching and mentorship.
