Dr. Ulrike Langbein is a Lecturer at the Department of Cultural Studies and European Ethnology, Faculty of Humanities, University of Basel. She conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of fashion anthropology, material culture studies, and emotion theory. Since 2013, she has led the "Cultural Anthropology of Fashion" specialization at the University of Basel while pioneering the "Modeled Human" research project on Hanro AG (1884-2012) funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
