Ulrike Hanstein is a Professor of Art and Media Studies and Director of the VALIE EXPORT Center – Research Center for Media and Performance Art at Friedrich Schiller University Jena since 2022. She previously held roles at institutions including the ifs international film school Cologne, University of Vienna, Bauhaus University Weimar, and Free University of Berlin.
