Ulrika Wennersten is an Associate Professor at the Department of Law and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Business Law at Lund University. She serves as Vice Dean for Education at the Lund University School of Economics and Management (LUSEM). Her expertise spans Intellectual Property Law, Media Law, and Fashion Law. She holds a Doctor of Laws (LLD) from Lund University and has extensive international teaching experience, including visiting professorships at Bocconi University and The Ohio State University.
Education: LLD (Doctor of Laws) from Lund University, Faculty of Law (2014).
Research Interests: Legal protection of digital photographs, copyright law, trademark law, and the intersection of law with emerging technologies like cloud computing and social media. Her work examines ownership rights, freedom of speech, and personal integrity in digital environments.
Teaching & Leadership: Teaches courses on Intellectual Property, Commercial Law, and Fashion Studies. Course director for European Trademark, Design and Copyright Law and Conflict and Intellectual Property Infringement. Member of the European Intellectual Property Teachers’ Network (EIPTN).
Affiliations: Researcher at Lund University Centre for Business Law (ACLU), Chair of Föreningen Immaterialrättsligt Forum (FIF), and Head of Unit for Intellectual Property at ACLU. Active in Nordic research networks and legal associations.
Labs/Teams: Leads Lund University Intellectual Property Network (LUIP) and collaborates in projects like 'Public Art and the New Commons' exploring legal frameworks for public space.
