Ulrika Centerwall is a lecturer in Library and Information Science at the University of Borås, Faculty of Librarianship, Information, Education and IT. Her work focuses on school libraries, feminist and norm-critical perspectives, and the democratic mission of libraries.

Her research explores school librarianship through practice architectures theory, emphasizing identity formation, visibility, and collaboration with educators. She analyzes how norm-critical pedagogy intersects with democratic values in Swedish schools.
Her publications highlight trends in school library practices, including the use of LGBTQ+ literature and challenges in negotiating professional roles with school management. She advocates for practice-oriented approaches in librarian education.
As an educator, she teaches at bachelor's and master's levels and leads the course Norm-critical treatment of children and young people. Her work bridges librarian pedagogy with broader societal and educational goals.
