Ulla Forinder

Ulla Forinder is a Professor at the Department of Social Work and Criminology, Academy of Health and Working Life, University of Gävle. She holds a PhD in Social Work from Stockholm University (2000) where she became Associate Professor in 2010 before joining University of Gävle in 2015.

Her research examines child welfare systems, healthcare professional sustainability, and family support mechanisms. Current projects include:

• Sustainable working life for night-working healthcare professionals
• Healthcare professionals' attitudes toward donation after death

She participates in three research networks focused on children as relatives, health promotion, and healthcare sociology.

Her publications focus on organizational dynamics in child welfare systems with recent work examining specialization's impact on service delivery. Article analysis shows consistent focus on improving interdisciplinary collaboration in social services.
