Ugo Gilbert Tremblay is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Montreal, specializing in the intersection of criminal law, philosophy, and neuroscience. His research explores how neuroscience impacts legal concepts of criminal responsibility and free will. He holds a PhD in Law and Philosophy from Université de Montréal and the University of Geneva, and a Master’s in Philosophy from Université de Montréal. His work bridges legal theory with scientific insights, addressing contemporary issues like hate speech regulation and AI’s societal impacts.
