Ugbede Umoru is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. He leads postgraduate and undergraduate modules including the MSc Global Business & Management dual placement and the International Business Environment.
Research Focus: Ugbede’s work centers on organisational management and firms’ responses to institutional complexity in emerging markets, particularly Africa. He applies institutional theory to analyze strategies for survival and expansion in the Nigerian telecommunications sector, emphasizing post-entry internationalization stages.
