Udish Chalana Ranasinghe

Udish Chalana Ranasinghe is a Lecturer in Business Analytics at Norwich Business School and an Associate Tutor in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of East Anglia. His research focuses on environmental management practices in SMEs, global value chains, and sustainable development goals (SDGs). He holds a PhD from Plymouth University (2018) on the impact of SEC guidance on climate change disclosures in US banking, a Master of Science in Business and Marketing (2018), and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from Sri Lanka (2016).

Ranasinghe’s work addresses how institutional quality and non-state actors influence pro-environmental practices in SMEs across countries. His research contributes to UN SDGs related to climate action and sustainable consumption. His 2025 article in the International Journal of Operations & Production Management explores trade facilitation and environmental practices in SMEs, while his 2022 conference paper examines multi-country institutional dynamics.
