Dr. Ajanee Ranasinghe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy at Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM), Tilburg University. She completed her PhD at The University of Melbourne in 2020 and specializes in management control systems and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Her research examines multi-dimensional performance rewards in creative work contexts and the reliability of CSR reporting. She teaches courses in Management Accounting and Budgeting and Forecasting for the International Business Administration (IBA) program.
Her notable research includes a groundbreaking 2021 study on CSR report restatements, published in Contemporary Accounting Research, which analyzed Global Fortune 250 firms. This work highlights trends in CSR reporting reliability, restatement frequency, and determinants like environmental targets and audit practices. Her findings contribute to investor decision-making and regulatory frameworks for sustainability reporting.
