Dr. Umar Khan is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Edge Hill University since September 2021. He previously held positions as Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University and Lecturer at Robert Gordon University. His research focuses on partial discharge, condition monitoring, sensors and instrumentation, hyperspectral imaging, spectroscopy, and robotics. He has collaborated extensively with industrial partners to address engineering challenges in sensor technology and condition monitoring. Khan is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of IET and IEEE.
