Tyrone Forman is a Professor in Black Studies and Sociology at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on intergroup prejudice, discrimination, sociocultural dynamics of race relations, and health outcomes across racial/ethnic groups. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan, an MA in Human Development & Social Policy from Northwestern University, and a BA in Urban Studies from Vassar College.

Research Interests: Forman explores the evolving nature of intergroup prejudice, racial attitudes among youth, intergroup relations among marginalized communities, and health disparities linked to systemic inequities. His work bridges sociological theory with empirical survey methods, supported by grants from the Russell Sage Foundation, National Science Foundation, and National Institutes of Health.
