Tyler Kohmetscher serves as an Instructor of Health and Human Performance at Nebraska Wesleyan University, specializing within the Athletic Training Department of the College of Health and Human Performance. He joined the institution in August 2023 and holds multiple professional certifications including Licensed Athletic Trainer in Nebraska (#803), Board of Certification-Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
His educational background includes a
- Master of Arts in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2016)
- Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology from Concordia University, Seward, NE (2013)
Mr. Kohmetscher's expertise centers on athletic injury prevention, rehabilitation, and emergency care in sports settings. His teaching portfolio includes Health Assessment, Rehabilitation of Athletic Injuries, Advanced Emergency Care, and Organization and Administration of Athletic Training. Professional experience spans seven years working with elite athletes including MLB pitcher Hunter Greene, PBR bull fighter Cody Webster, and NFL running back Jordan Howard across multiple U.S. states.
He maintains active roles in professional organizations:
