Ty Brumback is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology, Xavier University, where he joined the faculty in 2024. His work bridges clinical psychology, addiction treatment, and neurodevelopmental research.

Dr. Brumback’s research examines the initiation and escalation of alcohol use in adolescents and young adults, integrating cognitive, neurodevelopmental, and cardiovascular factors. He has conducted clinical work with veterans suffering from PTSD and substance use disorders through the VA Boston Healthcare System and Harvard Medical School. His research is supported by NIH-funded grants.
