Dr. Tuyen Huynh is an Assistant Professor and inaugural Bridge to Faculty Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research integrates mindfulness practices with family systems theory to address disparities in child and family well-being, particularly among underserved communities. She emphasizes health equity, maternal mental health, and community resilience through interventions targeting caregiver-child relationships.
Dr. Huynh’s work combines qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, exploring topics like pandemic impacts on maternal mental health, mindfulness in prenatal care, and resilience in HIV-affected families.
