Tulay Soylu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration and Policy at Temple University's College of Public Health. Her career spans academia, healthcare leadership, and clinical practice, with prior roles at George Mason University and 3M Healthcare Corporation.
- Education: PhD in Health Services Research (2019), MHA in Health Systems Management (2015) from George Mason University; MBA (1994) from Morgan State University.
Dr. Soylu's research focuses on transforming primary care through evidence-based practices, addressing cardiovascular health outcomes, workplace burnout, and policy challenges in value-based payment systems. She also investigates health insurance adequacy for vulnerable populations and maternal health disparities in the U.S.
Prior to academia, she worked as a consultant in healthcare, held a 10-year leadership role at 3M Healthcare Corporation, and practiced as an ICU nurse in cardiovascular surgery for eight years. She teaches courses on global health systems and health information systems development.
